Amber Cunnings

I received my Master’s Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Notre Dame de Namur University in Belmont California. I am a registered Art Therapist, ASIST suicide prevention trained and completed my 200 hour yoga instructor certification. With over 10 years working in inpatient and outpatient behavioral health settings, I have experience working clinically with acute mental illness and in administrative leadership. In my private practice I focus on evidence-based practices such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Motivational Interviewing, and also use Art Therapy, Play/Sand Tray Therapy, and Eye Movement Desensitization Reprogramming.  In couples work I utilize principles from Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) and Relational Life Therapy (RLT). I am passionate about my work with children, individuals, couples, and families.
